CBI team conducts on-ground investigation at site of Odisha train accident

Balasore (Odisha), June 07 (ANI): A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached the spot of the three-train accident in Odisha’s Balasore, on Tuesday. It was their second visit. This came as a part of the investigation, which claimed at least 275 lives. Meanwhile, the train services went back to normal in Odisha’s Balasore, Railways staff members have been working day and night in Balasore to bring normalcy as soon as possible. Restoration works at the accident site are almost done, as overturned bogies are being removed from the tracks. Notably, Indian Railways resumed train movement on the affected tracks within 51 hours of the mishap. The triple train accident involved Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Coromandel Express and a goods train. The triple-train collision in Balasore is one of the deadliest accidents in India in recent years.
