Centre to spend Rs 1.5 lakh crore in 3 years in West Bengal: Nitin Gadkari

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): The Centre is spending Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the next three years for a bouquet of infrastructure projects in West Bengal. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari releasing BJP Siliguri Sankalp Patra on February 04 said, “We are hopeful of pumping in an investment of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the next three years for the road projects. We hope to increase that to Rs 2 lakh crore and there will not be any dearth of funding. The Ghoshpukur-Dhupguri stretch—part of the Ghoshpukur-Salsabari road upgrade will be completed by the year-end and will enhance the connectivity of West Bengal with the northeastern states Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh. The rest of the connectivity will be completed by December 2023.”
