CM Ashok Gehlot lays foundation stone of the Upper High-Level Canal Project

Banswara (Rajasthan) June 13 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot laid the foundation stone for the construction of a siphon on the River Anas at Lankai in Banswara and the Upper High-Level Canal project at Magarda. This is a Rs. 2,500 crore project and six Tehsils of Banswara district namely Banswara, Bagidaura, Gangad Talai, Anandpuri, Kushalgarh and Sajjangarh have been linked to it. With this, the irrigation facility will be available in a 42-thousand-hectare area of 338 villages. During this, the Chief Minister said that the canal project is an ambitious project in the Tribal area. Due to this, sufficient water will be available for irrigation, which will lead to the sustainable development of this area and employment opportunities will increase. This project will play an important role in the socio-economic upliftment of the region. He said that every possible effort is being made by the state government to increase irrigation facilities in all areas. The state government has left no stone unturned in the development of tribal-dominated districts. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also announced the upgradation of Gram Panchayat Chhoti Sarva in Banswara district to Panchayat Samiti.
