CM Gehlot directs Health Dept to ensure 100 pc vaccination of targeted categories

Jaipur (Rajasthan) December 9 (ANI): Reviewing the COVID situation in the state in a high-level meeting, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directed the Medical and Health Department to ensure 100 per cent vaccination of people of 18 years and above in the state.The CM said that it should also be ensured that no person belonging to this age group is deprived of vaccination. “Vaccine is the key to protection from coronavirus. In such a situation, the highest priority should be given to the vaccination campaign and work should be done by preparing an action plan at the ground level for 100 per cent vaccination of the target group”, said CM.CM Gehlot expressed that in the districts where there is a need to speed up vaccination, people should be motivated with the help of public representatives and voluntary organizations to take the vaccine.CM Gehlot also reviewed the status of the new variant 'Omicron' of COVID-19 in the state. He said that full vigilance and caution should be taken to ensure that this variant does not spread in the state.The CM stressed that more and more RT-PCR tests should be done for passengers coming from other countries at the airport. “Although the patients have been found infected with a new variant of the virus in the state, they do not have serious symptoms. Despite this, we need to be constantly careful”, he added.
