Agartala (Tripura), July 14, 2025 (ANI): As part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, multiple initiatives and decisions have been taken to uplift and honor the pride of tribal communities across the country. In celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Government of India is observing Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh (Tribal Pride Year), with various outreach programs and welfare initiatives. In alignment with this national campaign, a fortnight-long initiative titled "Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan" is being observed from June 15 to June 30. As part of this, an administrative camp was organized today at the Govinda Community Hall in Belbari Block, which was inaugurated by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. During the event, benefits under various government schemes were distributed to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring direct delivery of welfare services to the tribal population. The camp also featured departmental stalls showcasing welfare schemes and services, which were later visited by the Chief Minister. Dr. Saha was accompanied by Sports Minister Tinku Roy and Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, who also interacted with the public and reviewed the implementation of schemes aimed at empowering indigenous communities. This initiative stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to inclusive development, tribal empowerment, and honoring the legacy of tribal icons like Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
