This company is manufacturing biodegradable shoes of sugarcane, husks in Haryana’s Panchkula

Panchkula (Haryana), Dec 29 (ANI): A company based in Haryana’s Panchkula is manufacturing shoes with the help of husks. Drish Shoes Limited is using sugarcane, husks and eucalyptus to manufacture biodegradable shoes. Shoes are made up of 82% bio products. The company claims that shoes will be decomposed in the soil within five years as compared to conventional shoes which takes around 50-200 years to decompose, posing serious threat to the environment. While speaking to ANI, the Managing Director (MD) of Drish Shoes Ltd, Indereshwar Singh Paul said, “We are also working on converting the husk of rice or wheat into fiber. Shoes are made up of 82% bio products,” he added.
