Construction of quality roads priority of state government: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) February 5 (ANI): In a review meeting of the Public Works Department, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that road construction and repair of bad roads are the priority of the government in the state. During the meeting, he stressed maintaining the quality of roads as well as monitoring by high-level officials. The CM directed that the officers should not compromise with the quality and senior engineers should go to the field and check the quality of construction works. Along with this, instructions have been given to ensure timely repair of roads in the default liability period and timely completion of budget announcements made by the state government. The Chief Minister expressed that it is their intention that excellent roads should be built in the state. There should be a system for monitoring the quality of roads so that the common man gets good roads. He also underlined that in the last three years, road construction and repair work worth about 20 thousand crore rupees have been announced.
