COVID-19: Almost 85% decline seen in daily cases since highest peak reported, says Health Ministry

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): In a media briefing on June 15, Joint secretary at Ministry of Health and Family Welfares, Lav Agarwal informed that almost 85% decline has been seen in daily cases since the highest reported peak. “We are witnessing this situation after 75 days, thus indicating an overall decline in infection rate,” said Agarwal. He expressed his concern on the issue of COVID-19 spread majorly in small children. He said, “In the age group of 1-10 years, 3.28% of children contracted COVID-19 infection in the first wave while 3.05% during the second wave. 8.03% got infected in 11-20 years of age group in first wave and 8.57 % in the second wave”.
