COVID-19: India asks Beijing for 'congenial stance' to facilitate early return of Indian students to China

New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on March 17 said that China has not given any categorical response about the return of Indian students to complete their studies. “Been taking up this matter with China on numerous occasions since restrictions were imposed, highlighted students' plight and how continuation of restrictions was putting their academic careers in jeopardy,” he said. “But let me clarify that till date Chinese side has not given any categorical response about the return of Indian students. We will continue to urge China to adopt a congenial stance in interest of our students and that they facilitate an early return to China,” he added.
