Cyclone Biparjoy: 80,000 electric poles damaged in Kachchh, restoration work in full swing

Bhuj (Gujarat), June 16 (ANI): Speaking to ANI on destruction in Gujarat due to Cyclone Biparjoy’s landfall, Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel on June 16 informed that around 80,000 electric poles have fallen. He shared that the PGVCL employees are working on the restoration of the power system in Kutch. He said, “We had given shelter to 54,000 people in shelter homes and around 80,000 electric poles have fallen, power system has been damaged due to faults in substations etc. PGVCL employees are working for the restoration of the power system in Kutch. There has been no loss of life due to the cyclone and about 71 animals have lost their lives.”
