Dal Lake’s youngest Eco-Warrior Jannat to represent J&K at Changemakers World Cup in Delhi

Srinagar (J&K), July 4, 2025 (ANI): The youngest girl from Dal Lake will participate in Changemakers world cup which will be scheduled in Delhi September 2025. Jannat is a seventh class female student living in world famous water body Dal lake playing a tremendous role to make this water body neat and clean. Because this world famous Dal lake attracts Lakhs of tourists every year from across the world. But unfortunately due to the lack of awareness people are throwing different kinds of wastage in Dal even sometimes tourists are making the same mistakes which is not for the safety of this beautiful lake. So when Jannat was just five years old with the help of her father she started the cleaning process of Dal Lake in the shape of collecting wastages through the net. Her efforts got positive results and other people also joined her which resulted in prime minister Narinder Modi appreciating and praising her work in famous radio programme MANN KI BAAT. Jannats father Tariq Ahmad patloo supported his daughter full of spirit and started a special campaign namely MISSION DAL LAKE aimed to educate people about the importance of cleaning Dal lake. Despite little age Jannat is doing a regular cleaning process which results in her getting a call from a national level organization to participate in the changemaker world cup. 1M1B Launches Change Makers World Cup – A National Talent Hunt to Spotlight Impactful Social Innovators on the Global Stage. UN-accredited youth-focused organization 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) announced that the registration is free for participants from Jammu & Kashmir for Change Makers World Cup (CWC) which is a nationwide initiative to identify and spotlight 50 of India’s most impactful change makers. These top talents will represent India at the prestigious 1M1B Activate Impact Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York this December. Top 500 participants will be honored at a celebratory event in New Delhi, while the Top 50 Change makers will receive the opportunity to present their initiatives at the 1M1B Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
