Delhi CP Asthana emphasizes importance of drone technology

New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana while addressing Annual Press Conference on February 24 emphasized the importance of drone technology and said, “The drone is a very important area, this technology will be used by Delhi Police in future. Drone technology will be used to handle law and order, for situational awareness, for traffic management and to secure vulnerable installations.” “Be it for surveillance, traffic management, photography, drones are going to be the order of the day in future. Keeping that in mind, Delhi Police is equipping itself with drone technology. In the coming 2-3 years, we will be having a separate unit, especially for the drones,” Asthana added.
