Delhi govt opened around 20, 000 new classrooms in last 5 years: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Ahead of Delhi Assembly elections, while addressing a press conference in the national capital on January 09, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke about Delhi schools. He said, “There are schools of Delhi Nagar Nigam and also of Delhi government in which Nagar Nigam runs primary schools while Delhi government runs secondary schools.” “On one side, in last nine years 109 schools of Nagar Nigam have been shut between 2011-2019, while on the contrary in past five years Delhi government have established around 20, 000 new classrooms which is equal to the infrastructure of around 500 new schools,” he added. “In last 9 years, 2,50,000 students have been reduced from schools of Nagar Nigam,” CM Kejriwal further stated.
