Delhi Police arrests 'Dholbaaj' robbers' gang

New Delhi, Decmber 31(ANI): Delhi Police has arrested two robbers namely Imran and Zakir of 'Dholbaaj' gang and recovered stolen articles, one Canon camera, two Canon zoom lens, one flash speedlight of estimated value of 7 lakh rupees.Accused persons have stolen these articles from the bag of a senior lady journalist, while she boarded an auto. They work as a gang, and these types of gangs are popularly known as “ Dholbaaj” in the world of crime. They usually take auto-TSRs on rent and one of the gang members drive the auto while the other members pose as the passengers of the auto. They used to identify their targets near bus stands, railway stations and their targets are the passengers of auto who prefer auto journey on sharing basis.When the victim took a ride in the auto, the accused persons, who were already in the auto as the passengers, asked the victim to put his luggage or bag in the back-side passage of the auto and one of them started talking to the victim passenger on various topics and other one stole all articles from the luggage of the victim passenger and put bricks and stones in his bag to avoid any immediate suspicion from the passenger.
