Delhi Police arrests ex-serviceman for allegedly murdering a travel agent

New Delhi, June 07(ANI): Delhi Police special cell arrested Sanjesh Kumar Chauhan, who was wanted in a sensational case of murder of a travel agent in the Mori Gate area of Delhi. Sanjesh retired from the Indian Army in January 2021. After retirement, he purchased four buses and started operating these buses on Delhi-Etawah-Kanpur route. The deceased Akhilesh Tiwari, who was a travel agent in Mori Gate area, used to book tickets for the buses being operated by Sanjesh Chauhan. Akhilesh wanted to run his own bus on the same route which irked Sanjesh. Further, Akhilesh borrowed 1.5 lakh rupees from Sanjesh. Due to an altercation over non-payment of money by the deceased, the accused Sanjesh planned the murder. As per the plan, the accused along with his two associates reached the office of Akhilesh and shot him dead. After the murder, Sanjesh fled the spot. Recently, police received a specific information regarding the presence of Sanjesh in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. Acting upon the tip, police constituted a team and apprehended Sanjesh from Awaari village of Etawah.
