Delhi Police hands over recovered mobile phones to their owners under ‘Operation Vishwas’

New Delhi, 06 August(ANI): Delhi Police organized an event to hand over the recovered mobile phones to their respective owners under ‘Operation Vishwas’. The event was organized at East Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University auditorium at Vivek Vihar, Shahdara. On this occasion, Special Commissioner of Police Depender Pathak graced the occasion as the chief guest. Many senior police officers along with students and local residents were also present. On 15 July 2023, Shahdara district police launched a 15-day “Operation Vishwas” under which police constituted 16 teams and recovered 205 snatched and stolen mobile phones from different locations across the country. Speaking on the occasion, the Special CP appreciated the professionalism, dedication and efforts exhibited by the police personnel to implement such an operation. Along with this, he also raised awareness among the public about reporting any suspicious activities in their society to ensure a safe environment in the national capital.
