Delhi Police organises awareness program "NASHE KO MAAT, DELHI POLICE KE SAATH"

New Delhi, May 17 (ANI): Delhi police organised an awareness programme on drug abuse prevention for Delhi Police officials in association with National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, (Government of India) at Adarsh auditorium in Delhi Police Headquarters. Under this programme, Delhi Police intends to generate awareness for its personnel towards drug abuse and provide preventive education on drug abuse to them. Special Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar was the chief guest on this occasion. The program was attended by police officials of Districts and the under trainees of Delhi Police Academy including the officials of NISD and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. Speaking on the occasion, DCP welfare Kumar Gyanesh emphasized that the issue of drug addiction is a challenge in the country. He appreciated the initiative of NISD in the field of drug abuse prevention by carrying out such awareness programs. Apart from it, he also underlined that with the LOGO of “NASHE KO MAAT, DILLI POLICE KE SAATH” Delhi police will organise online and offline hybrid sessions in all 15 districts to aware families of Delhi police personnel. During the program, the resource persons from AIIMS New Delhi emphasized on Drugs Types, myths & facts, signs and symptoms, Treatment aspects through a detailed presentation.
