Delhi Police’s families welfare society celebrates ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’

New Dehi, February 5 (ANI): Police families welfare society (PFWS), of Delhi Police celebrated the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Central Park in New Delhi. Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Cultural, Meenakshi Lekhi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Govind Mohan, Additional Cultural Secretary, and Rakesh Asthana, Commissioner of Delhi Police also attended the event as special guests. On this occasion, Meenakshi Lekhi honoured the Delhi Police personnel and family members by giving prizes and citations to the winners in lori writing, patriotic songs and rangoli programs organised by the Ministry of Culture. When the whole country is celebrating the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Delhi Police is also celebrating its Amrit Mahotsav, along with the Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), which has completed 50 years of its establishment.
