Desperate rewarded criminal nabbed by Delhi Police

New Delhi, March 23 (ANI): Delhi Police arrested a desperate rewarded criminal namely Suraj alias Bhagat. The police team received specific information that one desperate criminal residing in village Arthala of Ghaziabad district. On this information, a police team raided the said place and apprehended the accused person. He is previously involved in 5 cases of murder, robbery, dacoity and rape in Delhi. He is a parole jumper and has been convicted for 10 years. During COVID pandemic, he was released from jail on parole in June 2020 but he did not surrender. He is wanted in a rape case, reported Seemapuri police station. In this case, he induced a woman by claiming to cure her epilepsy through black magic and intoxicated her through spiked cold drink. He raped her while she was in an intoxicated state and later threatened her for life if she reports the matter. However, the victim reported the matter and a case of rape was registered against him at P.S. Seemapuri. After this incident, he changed his hideout of Delhi and started living at different places to avoid his arrest. Keeping in view of his criminal record and gravity of the offence, a reward of 1 Lakh rupees was declared for his arrest by Delhi Police in this case.
