Development of Tourism state's top priority: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) May 9 (ANI): In the review meeting of the tourism department, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the promotion of tourism in the state is the priority of the state government. For this purpose, tourism has been given industry status in the budget for the financial year 2022-23. He said that the government is trying to strengthen the tourism industry in the state. More and more tourists should come to Rajasthan so that more and more employment opportunities can also be created. The CM underlined that 1,000 crore rupees are being spent by the state government on tourism development. Instructing the officials present in the meeting, the Chief Minister said that a plan should be made to create a 'Special Tourism Zone' on the National Highways of Rajasthan so that facilities for tourists can be developed there. Such places should be inspected by tourism experts. The Chief Minister also directed that a special campaign should be launched to make Rajasthan a brand. Extensive branding at the national and international level will not only give a new identity to tourism but will also give a boost to industries.
