Devotees take holy dip on occasion of 'aadi amavasya' in Rameswaram's Agnitheertham

Rameswaram (TN), July 31 (ANI): Devotees took holy dip on the occasion of 'aadi amavasya' in Rameswaram's Agnitheertham in front of Ramanathaswamy Temple on Wednesday. A large number of pilgrims and devotees from various parts of the country visited the temple. Later in the evening, Lord Ramanathaswamy consort and Goddess Parvathavarthini would be taken in a procession in a silver chariot around the temple and would give darshan to devotees. The entire town wore a festive looks in view of 'aadi amavasya'.
