DFCCIL has entered from Sanrachna to Sanchalan phase: MD RK Jain

New Delhi, November 01 (ANI): Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL) is working round the clock to complete the Dedicated Freight Corridor project. So far, DFCCIL has completed the construction work of 1,610 km of rail track which is 57 per cent of the total project. Goods trains are being operated successfully on various sections of the Freight Corridor. DFCCIL has set a target of completing 90 per cent of its project work by June 2023. Managing Director of DFCCIL, RK Jain said that the DFCCIL has entered from Sanrachna (Infrastructure) to Sanchalan (Operations) phase. The dedicated freight corridors are freight expressways capable of transforming not only the transportation but the logistics landscape by providing longer, faster, heavier and longer trains. He also said that DFCCIL will bring new traffic and shift road traffic towards rail. He also emphasised that DFCCIL will help in boosting the share of railways and will decrease the logistics cost in the coming days. In the coming days, DFCCIL will focus more on developing private freight terminals, building new goods shed, developing new multi-model logistics parts and speeding up the trains along with commissioning, he added.
