DFCCIL sets up oxygen plant in northern railway hospital in record time

New Delhi, June 12 (ANI): Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has taken the proactive initiative of providing a 500 litres per minute (LPM) Oxygen Generation Plant, installed in a record time at the Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi under the CSR initiative of Tata projects. Tata Projects has a long association with DFCCIL as a project partner in constructing the prestigious Corridor. The Plant was commissioned in the presence of Ravindra Kumar Jain, MD, DFCCIL and Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway. On this occasion, MD, Ravindra Kumar Jain mentioned that the plant was provided in a record time of less than a month General Manager, Northern Railway appreciated the gesture of DFCCIL and TATA Projects. He said that this is a big leap toward self-reliance in oxygen availability for Northern Railway Hospital and now better equipped to serve the patients and save precious lives. This plant works on the Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) technology in which special absorbent material is used to separate gases based on their molecular characteristics and absorb the target gas at high pressure and ambient temperature. The gas is then desorbed at lower pressure.
