Digital Agriculture: Drone Service Stations Make Crop Spraying More Accessible in Vadodara
Oct 13, 2026
Agricultural drones are making crop spraying faster, easier and more affordable for farmers in Vadodara, Gujarat. The technology enables spraying one acre of farmland in just five minutes, saving time, money and physical effort. Farmers are using drones to spray Nano Urea and Nano DAP across their fields. Under the government scheme, farmers receive a subsidy of ₹500 per acre and pay only ₹100 for spraying services. The Gujarat government also provides financial assistance of ₹5 lakhs to eligible applicants purchasing agricultural drones, subject to prescribed conditions, including a valid drone pilot licence. With training and government support, drone technology is modernising agricultural practices, improving access to farm services and creating self-employment opportunities for rural youth across Gujarat.
