Jun 29, 2022

Srinagar, June 29 (ANI): An NGO has stepped forward and opened a drug rehabilitation centre in Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir to cure the menace of drug addiction among youths. The centre has been named ‘The Grooming Kashmir’. For rehabilitation procedures, they have deployed tight security, set up individual rooms and brought highly skilled physicians at this facility. These individuals are treated by the rehabilitation centre in stages. In the first stage, the patients undergo detoxification, physical assessment, meditation, and hajima to determine their exact position and provide doctors a comprehensive understanding of how to treat them. In the second phase, doctors begin treatment, such as counselling, medical care, self-help activities, etc. that assist the patients in recovering from drug abuse. After a while, when the patients forget about this drug, the doctors involve them in additional activities, such as indoor games, religious sessions, and mental health activities, to get attention diverted from this drug abuse. This process will assist the drug-addicted individuals in returning to normal life. The community in Kashmir valley applauded this action since it is helping to eradicate the drug epidemic from the society and in rescuing their children.
