Mumbai, Oct 21, 2026 (ANI): The United States and India are aligned on a range of issues, including ensuring that superintelligence benefits humanity and maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in Mumbai on Tuesday (October 20). Rubio was speaking at the Freedom 250 celebrations in the city. During the two-day visit to Mumbai and Jamnagar in western India, Rubio is slated to meet government and business leaders, and billionaire Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, which operates the world's largest refining complex at Jamnagar. Rubio and other officials have said in recent days that a comprehensive trade deal between the two nations is almost complete, raising the possibility that it could be signed during the secretary's visit.
