EC transfers ADG Rajiv Kumar to MHA over poll interference allegations in WB

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): The Election Commission on Wednesday transferred Rajiv Kumar, who currently holds the portfolio of Additional Director General (ADG) in West Bengal's Criminal Investigation Department (CID), to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The poll body also relieved the Principal Secretary of the state’s Home and Health Affairs for allegedly interfering in the poll process. “ADG CID, Rajiv Kumar stands relieved and attached to MHA. He should report to MHA by 10 am tomorrow. Principal Secretary, Home and Health Affairs WB government stands relieved from his current charge immediately for having interfered in process of conducting polls by directing WB CEO,” said Sudeep Jain, Deputy Election Commissioner.
