“Every child’s rights…” UNICEF Representative Cynthia McCaffrey on UN-GoI agreement

New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): On the occasion of World children’s day, UNICEF organised a program for children in New Delhi. UNICEF Representative to India Cynthia McCaffrey on Nov 18 said that UNICEF and UN are working with the government of India and across India to make sure that every child’s rights are met. Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF Representative to India said, “UNICEF and UN are working with the government of India and across India to make sure that every child’s rights are met. We are working for quality education, access to quality health, working on nutrition, protecting children. We have a strong and we have a 5-year plan that we’ve signed with GoI that enables us to make sure we move forward on tangible actions to give children their rights.” “Our plan is to be targeted and focused. We make sure that we include every child, we have plans to include girls and we use gender to cut across all our programs, make sure that we include children with disabilities,” she added.
