Chennai, Feb 28 (ANI): Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman on February 28 expressed her concerns regarding the trade impact caused to Indian exporters amid Russia-Ukraine crisis. While addressing the post-Budget interaction with stakeholders in Chennai, she said, “As regards the bearing that Russia-Ukraine crisis will have on our immediate imports and exports to Ukraine, we are rightly worried about what comes from there. But I am more worried about what will happen to our exporters, particularly farmer sector to Russia and Ukraine.” “We are already looking at the emergent situation. But I will have to have a complete assessment through the various concerned ministries and only then be in a position to comment on it. But you can be assured that we are fairly seized of the matter in its granular form because it's going to have an impact on the essentials which come,” FM Sitharaman added.
