Fodder scam: Judgment will come within 3 months, says Lalu Prasad Yadav’s lawyer

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jan 16 (ANI): Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav was produced before a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on January 16. He was produced before the court in connection with a fodder scam case. While speaking to media in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on January 16, the advocate of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Prabhat Kumar, said, “The statement of Lalu Yadav as per CrPc 313 will be registered in the court today. As per CrPc 313, the statement is recorded in front of magistrate in presence of the accused.” “This is mandatory for everyone. This case is of Rs 139 crore and going on from long time since 1990-95,” he added. “When charge sheet was filed in 2002, 180 accused were there which has now come down to 111. Maximum in two and half month judgment will be pronounced,” Lalu Yadav’s advocate further stated.
