Gandhi Jayanti: Special prayers offered at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Oct 02 (ANI): Special prayers were being offered at the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on October 02. Prayers were offered by several school students on the occasion of Bapu’s 150th birth anniversary. Mahatma Gandhi spent about 12 years in the ashram located on the banks of river Sabarmati. Birthday of ‘Bapu’ on October 2 is celebrated worldwide as the ‘International Day of Non-violence’. People across nation will celebrate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today.
