Gangster Gaurav arrested after fierce encounter with Delhi Police

New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): Delhi Police have arrested notorious gangster Gaurav aka Monti of the Ashok Pradhan gang. Earlier, a police team was constituted to trace and arrest the mastermind of extortion, robbery-cum-murder incident in the Qutubgarh area committed by the Ashok Pradhan gang. Gaurav, who was involved in the case, was at large. The police team received information that Gaurav would come near Karala helipad at sec-37 of Rohini Distt. A Police team reached the spot and laid a trap. Police tried to stop him when he appeared on a motorcycle with a disfigured number plate. Gaurav opened fire on the team to which police retaliated. Gangster Gaurav's both legs were wounded in the gunbattle and he was subsequently apprehended. The pistol used in the incident has been recovered from the accused along with 4 live cartridges.
