Global concern grows over Pakistan’s reported attacks on Afghan civilians

Geneva (Switzerland)/ Afghanistan, March 26 (ANI): On the sidelines of the 61st Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, activists and community representatives voiced alarm over reported bombardment of civilians in Afghanistan by Pakistan. They warned that such actions risk deepening instability and further straining an already fragile region. Prominent Pashtun activist Fazul ur Rehman Afridi raised concerns over the human rights situation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and condemned attacks by Pakistani security forces in Afghanistan that reportedly killed civilians. As concerns mount, participants urged the international community to take note, stressing the need for accountability, restraint, and immediate steps to protect civilians and uphold human rights.
