Government fuelling rise of inflation by high taxes on petrol and diesel: P Chidambaram

Udaipur (Rajasthan), May 14 (ANI): Congress leader P Chidambaram on May 14 expressed his concern over rising inflation due to high taxes on petrol, diesel and high administrative prices.“State of Indian economy is of extreme concern, slower growth-rate is hallmark of present government. Inflation has risen to unexpected levels. Government is fuelling rise of inflation by high taxes on petrol and diesel and high administered prices,” said P Chidambaram, Leader, Congress.“The external situation has added to pressure on economy, government appears clueless on the ways to deal with the situation. USD 22 billion has flowed out of the country in last 7 months, foreign exchange reserve has depleted by USD 36 billion,” he added.r
