Siliguri (West Bengal), May 29 (ANI): Speaking on the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Cabinet’s proposal to make the CM the chancellor of state-run varsities, replacing him, State Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on May 29 criticised the decision stating that the State of Education is alarming. “State of Education in WB is alarming. 25 Vice Chancellors were appointed against law. I will examine whether the role of Governor can be curtailed,” said Dhankhar. “It is most unfortunate that Constitutional Institutions in the state are under attack. Attack on the judiciary is reprehensible. In a public meeting attacking a judge who orders a CBI enquiry into the SSC, a scam is most condemnable,” he added.
