Gujarat CM’s Support Becomes a Lifeline, Para-Athlete Gagdas Parmar Finds New Momentum

Gujarat: Para-athlete Gagdas Parmar from Jetda village in the Vav–Tharad region of Banaskantha district has received crucial support from the Gujarat government. Gagdas, who lost both his legs in a tragic electric shock accident in 2017, was provided financial assistance of ₹14 lakhs under CSR on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. With this support, he has been fitted with state-of-the-art high-speed prosthetic legs. After receiving the prosthetics, Gagdas met the Chief Minister and expressed his gratitude. Currently, he is undergoing regular training and preparing for the 100m and 200m sprint events, with the aim of delivering strong performances at national and international platforms.
