Gujarat’s Dumas Beach Emerges as World-Class Tourism Destination

Surat, widely known as India’s Diamond and Silk City, is rapidly emerging as a premier coastal tourism destination through the Dumas Sea-Face and Eco-Tourism Park Project. Developed by the Surat Municipal Corporation and designed by INI Design Studio, Ahmedabad, the project combines natural coastal beauty with modern, eco-friendly infrastructure. Spread across 152 hectares and nearly 5 km of coastline, it features promenades, cycling tracks, play zones, landscaped gardens, visitor amenities, parking facilities, and EV charging stations. Once a local picnic spot, Dumas now attracts over 25,000 visitors daily. Guided by the vision of Viksit Gujarat, the project showcases sustainable tourism, inclusive growth, and world-class public infrastructure, transforming Dumas into one of Gujarat’s most prominent coastal attractions.
