Gujarat's IITE Expands with Seven New Schools

Gandhinagar, Gujarat, 08 July, 2026 (ANI) Established in 2010 under the vision of then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat's Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) is expanding under the National Education Policy 2020. The University is launching seven new Schools to promote multidisciplinary learning and future-ready education. Backed by ₹12.7 crore from the Gujarat Government, IITE has also introduced a School of Technology to prepare educators for the AI-driven era. Aligned with NEP 2020, IITE's multidisciplinary curriculum blends Indian Knowledge Systems with modern education, preparing future-ready educators through innovation, technology and globally aligned teacher training. With multidisciplinary education, AI-focused teacher training and globally benchmarked programmes, Gujarat is strengthening its education ecosystem and preparing future-ready educators.
