Sep 15, 2026

Chhota Udepur, Gujarat : In Gujarat’s tribal areas, government initiatives are helping more girls continue their education with greater ease. Under the Vidyasadhana Yojana, eligible tribal girls entering Class 9 are provided free bicycles to make their daily journey to school easier. The bicycle support is helping students attend school regularly and continue their education with greater convenience. In 2025-26, ₹30.49 crore has been allocated for girls studying in Class 9, further supporting girls’ education in tribal areas. Along with bicycle support, schools are providing digital boards, playgrounds and drinking water facilities, creating a supportive learning environment and encouraging tribal students to continue their education. With better access to school, modern learning facilities and continued support, initiatives like these are helping tribal girls stay connected to education and move towards a more confident and self-reliant future.
