New Delhi, April 12 (ANI): India Meteorological Department (IMD) senior scientist Dr RK Jenamani on April 12, informed that the heatwave will remit in Northwest India and the temperature will decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius. “Major spell of the heatwave is over. Thunderstorms are expected in west Rajasthan and Punjab. All India’s temperature was the highest in 122 years due to no rainfall in the last 50 days. Heatwave conditions might arise in Rajasthan around April 16. Another western disturbance is expected from April 18,” said RK Jenamani, Senior Scientist, IMD. “Due to increased presence of clouds over Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana, the temperature will decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius, and heatwave will remit. Delhi will have wind and cloud conditions. Predicted western disturbance is already showing effects over north-western India,” he added.
