‘I was doing my duty’: Kerala Governor on allegedly being heckled by historian

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Dec 29 (ANI): Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan reacted over the incident which took place at Kannur University. Arif Mohammad Khan said, “I have taken oath to protect and defend the Constitution and law. A law which is passed by the parliament it is my duty and duty of any and every constitutional office it is his duty to defend it.” The incident occurred during Governor’s speech at the 80th inaugural session of the Indian History Congress held at the Kannur University when Irfan Habib and other delegates heckled and threatened the Governor while he was delivering a speech.
