India flags off third consignment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Attari-Wagah Border, Mar 08 (ANI): The third convoy of India's humanitarian assistance carrying 2000 metric tonnes of wheat left for Afghanistan via Attari-Wagah Border, near Punjab’s Amritsar on March 08. "The third consignment of 2,000 metric tonnes of wheat are being dispatched for Afghanistan in 40 trucks (via Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar), today. The total gift is of 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat," said Balbir Singh Mangat, Joint Commissioner of Customs. This is part of India's commitment of 50,000 MTs of wheat for the Afghan people and will be distributed by United Nations' World Food Program.
