India is great democracy, says British PM in Delhi

New Delhi, April 22 (ANI): United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson on April 22 praised India's democracy, saying it is stunning that 1.35 billion people live under a democracy. “PM Modi and I have told our negotiators to conclude the Free Trade Agreement by Diwali,” the UK PM said. “India is a very different country from autocracies around the world. It's a great democracy. It's a stunning, shining fact that 1.35 billion people live under a democracy. That is something we should celebrate as it offers us an opportunity for closer cooperation and partnership,” he added. “Of course, we have these conversations (on human rights or democratic values). The advantage of our friendship is that we can have them in a friendly way,” he further added.
