India showcases UNESCO heritage in Baku

The Embassy of India in Baku inaugurated a permanent exhibition featuring 17 panels showcasing India's iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites, celebrating the country's rich cultural heritage and civilizational legacy. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Abhay Kumar highlighted India's thousands of years of continuous history reflected through its monuments, sacred places, archaeological sites and natural landscapes. UN-Habitat Azerbaijan's Head of Country Programme, Anna Soave, said the exhibition underscores the shared heritage of humanity and promotes cultural understanding across nations. The initiative strengthens India-Azerbaijan cultural ties while showcasing India's globally recognised heritage.
