Nepal, June 19 (ANI): Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava and Lomanthang Rural Municipality Chairman TashiNharbuGurung jointly inaugurated a new dormitory building at the LowoNyiphugNamdrolNorbuling Monastic School in Mustang district, Gandaki Province. Ambassador Srivastava conveyed his best wishes and reiterated India’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s development and shared prosperity. Constructed with financial assistance from the Government of India, the project was implemented as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) in partnership with the Lomanthang Rural Municipality. The newly constructed two-storey facility includes four dormitory blocks and supporting infrastructure designed to improve student accommodation and learning conditions. The LowoNyiphugNamdrolNorbuling Monastic School is an important institution in Mustang, combining Buddhist education with Nepal’s national curriculum while helping preserve the region’s rich cultural heritage. The project reflects India’s broader development partnership with Nepal under the High Impact Community Development Project initiative, through which nearly 600 community projects have been implemented across Nepal, including 63 in Gandaki Province and 18 in Mustang.
