India willing to match tax benefits of Australia’s Sovereign, Pension Funds: MEA

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison agreed that they would increase cooperation between India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and Australia's Pension and Sovereign Fund as India is willing to match the tax benefits that Australia gives to its Sovereign and Pension Funds. Addressing a special briefing on India-Australia virtual summit, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said, “The 2 PMs agreed that they would be increasing cooperation between India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and Australia's Pension and Sovereign Fund. It's important because of our interest in attracting Australian investments in our infrastructure development.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison held the second India-Australia virtual summit on March 21.
