Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan hosts grand food festival in Baku

Baku (Azerbaijan), April 21 (ANI): The Embassy of India in Azerbaijan hosted a grand Indian Food Festival at its premises in Baku, showcasing India’s rich culinary and cultural heritage. The day-long event featured diverse Indian cuisines, vibrant cultural performances, and strong diplomatic participation, drawing a large gathering of ambassadors, diplomats, Azerbaijani officials, MPs, business leaders, media, the Indian community, and the international diaspora. Ambassador Abhay Kumar said Indian cuisine reflects India’s ancient civilisation and the ethos of “Atithi Devo Bhava.” A major highlight was the spread of authentic regional cuisines, with guests enjoying everything from North India’s biryanis, kebabs, and buttery naans to South India’s coconut-based delicacies and dosas. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by live classical and folk dance performances, with many attendees calling it a memorable “taste of India in Baku.”
