India’s first radio channel for visually-impaired launched in Nagpur

Nagpur (Maharashtra), April 17 (ANI): India’s first radio channel for visually-impaired people ‘Radio Aksh’ has been launched in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The Channel is jointly developed by the Blind Relief Association Nagpur and Samdrushti Kshamata Vikas Avam Anusandhan Mandal (Saksham). It aims to help the visually-impaired gain seamless access to education resources and audiobooks. “These people will themselves create the content for the radio channel. We also develop audiobooks for them to easily learn from their homes,” Shirish Darvekar, Channel Co-ordinator told ANI.
