India’s Largest Skill Training Institute opens in Gujarat’s Vadnagar

Larsen & Toubro has established India’s largest industrial skill training institute in Vadnagar, transforming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hometown into a growing hub for employment and skill development. Built on a 9.3-acre campus in just six months, the institute offers free training, accommodation, meals, and hostel facilities to youth aged 18 to 35. More than 20 trades, including electrical work, welding, plumbing, telecom, solar technology, and construction, are taught through short-term courses lasting 45 to 90 days. Successful trainees receive direct job placements with starting salaries between ₹18,000 and ₹20,000 per month. Two pilot batches of 200 students have already achieved 100 percent placement, giving thousands of youth new hope for a secure future.
