New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): All government agencies are ready to deal with Cyclone Biparjoy which will make its landfall by today evening, informed NDRF DG Atul Karwal on June 15. “Landfall is expected near Jakhau. Wind speed is less than or around 50 kmph and it falls under the ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ category. The speed will possibly decrease before the landfall. It might go from a ‘very severe storm’ to a ‘severe storm’. Various shipping boats have been anchored. Several people have been evacuated. Pregnant women have already been admitted to hospitals. I think all government agencies are ready to deal with the cyclone. Villages falling under 0 km to 5 km of the port have been evacuated. Around 1 lakh people have been evacuated so far,” informed NDRF DG.
